You’re So Vain

Emily Duffy has taken a new approach to how she uses her automobile. She made her car into a mobile masterpiece with a message, traveling all over the country with what she calls her Vain Van.  She uses this glittering girly car to teach women about self-esteem and body image. How Far Will Your Pumpkin Fly?

If Halloween is just around the corner then it must be time for the Annual Punkin Chunkin World Championship, held every year in an open field in the great state of Delaware.  Chunkers work tirelessly in an effort to design and build a contraption that will throw a pumpkin the farthest.  If you haven't experienced the joy of watching a pumpkin hurl through the air and explode when it hits the ground, click through to watch a Smithsonian Channel video of the event.

Last week I caught a special on CNN about SPAM. Yep, you got it, SPAM, the meat in a can- not the annoying content that pops up on your computer screen. What is the world coming to if families are living on SPAM for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Who would have thought that at a time when the nation's economy is failing, the sales of SPAM would rise?
