If Halloween is just around the corner then it must be time for the Annual Punkin Chunkin World Championship, held every year in an open field in the great state of Delaware. Chunkers work tirelessly in an effort to design and build a contraption that will throw a pumpkin the farthest. If you haven't experienced the joy of watching a pumpkin hurl through the air and explode when it hits the ground, click through to watch a Smithsonian Channel video of the event.
Last week I caught a special on CNN about SPAM. Yep, you got it, SPAM, the meat in a can- not the annoying content that pops up on your computer screen. Watch the Smithsonian Channel sneak peak at the SPAMARAMA festival.
